Manchester United has emerged as a potential suitor for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, who is currently on loan at Galatasaray.
Reports suggest that the Nigerian forward could make a move in the upcoming January transfer window, though nothing is imminent at this stage.
United has had a challenging start to the season, despite an encouraging 2-2 draw against Liverpool last weekend. The club, under manager Ruben Amorim, has faced struggles in improving their Premier League form.
The attack, in particular, has failed to meet expectations, with Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee both unable to secure consistent starting positions.
The duo has managed only five goals between them in the league so far.
Rumors have linked Osimhen with a move to Old Trafford, with some reports suggesting a possible swap deal involving Marcus Rashford.
The English forward has seen his role diminish under Amorim, who has frequently left him out of matchday squads.
Fabrizio Romano confirmed that there is a possibility Osimhen could switch clubs in January. However, he stated, “In terms of chance to move, it’s possible. But at the moment nothing is advanced or close with any club despite the links around.”
Osimhen, who has been a consistent goalscorer across Europe, may be looking for a return to one of the top European leagues after his loan spell in Turkey.
United’s interest in strengthening their attack could make this transfer an intriguing option as they seek a reliable striker to lead their front line.
